On October 15, the 136th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) kicked off in Guangzhou. On October 17, 2024, our technical director, sales director and other colleagues went to Guangzhou to attend the first phase of this Canton Fair with the theme of “Advanced Manufacturing”. It is understood that this Canton Fair is themed “Serving High-quality Development and Promoting High-level Opening Up” and will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15 to November 4, and the online platform will continue to operate normally. This Canton Fair has many highlights, which are worthy of the expectations and attention of people from all walks of life and enterprises from all walks of life.


The first offline exhibition of the 136th Canton Fair, which started on October 15, was themed “Advanced Manufacturing”, with a total exhibition area of ​​520,000 square meters, 24,890 booths, and 11,652 exhibitors. The exhibition themes include 19 exhibition areas in 5 sectors, including electronic appliances, industrial manufacturing, lighting and electrical appliances, hardware tools, vehicles and two-wheelers. In addition, among the exhibitors in the first phase, more than 1,300 companies participated in the exhibition for the first time. There are more than 4,200 high-quality and characteristic enterprises with titles such as national high-tech enterprises, single champions in manufacturing, and specialized and new small giants, an increase of more than 1,200 over the previous session, which has helped China’s manufacturing climb to the middle and high end of the global industrial chain and value chain.


The total exhibition area of ​​this year is 1.55 million square meters, with a total of 74,000 booths, 55 exhibition areas and 171 special areas. The three phases focus on the themes of “advanced manufacturing”, “quality home” and “better life”, and will include new quality productivity. An import exhibition will be set up in three exhibition periods, with an exhibition area of ​​30,000 square meters, attracting 730 companies from 49 countries and regions to participate.

 

At this Canton Fair, there were more than 30,000 offline exhibitors, including about 29,400 export exhibitors, nearly 800 more than the previous session. A large number of new enterprises, new products, new technologies, and new formats emerged. There were more than 8,000 enterprises with titles such as national high-tech, specialized and innovative small giants, and manufacturing single champions, an increase of more than 40% over the previous session.


It is understood that this year’s Canton Fair has greatly improved the efficiency of the online platform to help achieve “never ending”. The online platform has optimized 18 functions, launched virtual digital people for the first time, and launched a new Canton Fair APP. This year’s Canton Fair has vigorously improved exhibition services to create a good negotiation environment for exhibitors and visitors. In order to improve payment convenience, this year’s Canton Fair has set up more ATMs, foreign currency exchange machines and foreign currency POS machines to provide overseas exhibitors and visitors with diversified payment options, allowing global exhibitors and visitors to consume conveniently and safely. Upgrade on-site services, add certificate processing points, enrich catering categories, optimize traffic organization, and improve the exhibition hall environment to provide exhibitors and visitors with more considerate and thoughtful services.
